Did You Know? . . . Ford Keyfob Remotes Work for Keyhead Transmitters

Among the most widely used remotes transmitters in existence are the 3-button and 4-button keyfob-style remotes used by Ford on nearly all trucks, SUVs and sedans beginning around 1998. Beginning with some 2007 models, Ford starting switching over to keyhead-style remotes for many vehicles.

What many people do not realize, though, is that the keyfob remotes and the keyhead transmitters actually use the same electronic signal characteristics. So . . . Ford keyfob remotes can actually be used with vehicles that originally came with a keyhead-style remote. In order to program the keyfob remote, you will need one working key for most applications, but some vehicles require two working keys.
